1st day: Arrival
Arrival of the participants, meeting with our Customer Assistant and transfer by 1st class air conditioned Gran Tourism Coach, to the hotel for accommodation in the reserved rooms. Spare time and overnight stay.
2nd day: Castelfranco and Asolo
Arrival of the participants to Castelfranco with our Customer Assistant, meeting with our Touristic Guide and visit to the city: the “town of the painter Giorgione” hides all the splendour of a “city of art” among its medieval walls. Inside the Duomo it’s possible to admire the Pala di Giorgione, the famous architect, the Frieze of Casa Marta Pellizzari and also the beautiful 17th century theatre Teatro Accademico. In the square it’s possible to admire the beautiful Palaces, the walls and the Castle built by Trevigiani in the XII century in order to defend their borders. At the end visit and degustation to a farm house and its wine cellars, where it will be possible to buy some delicious Prosecco. In the afternoon free time for lunch (not included but organised on request in typical restaurant). In the afternoon transfer to Asolo and visit to the city, a medieval jewel of Veneto. This town is beautifully positioned, and for this reason the poet Giosuè Carducci named it “the city of 100 horizons”. The historical centre is dominated by the Rocca, the Castle, and the Cathedral, where it’s possible to admire the beautiful Pala by Lorenzo Lotto. It is worth to visit the Palazzo della Ragione, where justice used to be administrated in Medieval times. There is also an enchanting walk to be done through the city centre which, with its Portici and medieval streets, has fascinated artists from all over the world. In the evening transfer to the hotel, accommodation in the reserved rooms and overnight stay.
3rd day: Bassano del Grappa e Possagno
After breakfast in hotel, meeting with our Customer Assistant and our Touristic Guide, and transfer to visit Bassano del Grappa famous for its bridge called Ponte degli Alpini, by Jacopo Da Ponte and for the precious pottery production. The centre of the town is very attractive and characterized by a Palladio’s Wood Bridge, the Castle of the Ezzelini and the Civic Museum. In the afternoon free time for lunch (not included but organised on request in typical restaurant), transfer to Possagno and visit to the impressive neoclassical Temple which was projected by Antonio Canova to honour his town and which dominates Possagno from the top of the hill. In the evening transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.
4th day: Marostica and Cittadella
After breakfast in hotel, transfer to Marostica worldwide famous for his traditional alive Chess Game. A huge wall embrace two castles and the town and create a beautiful frame with Colle Pausolino. The Castello Superiore dominates the historical centre and by his big imposing walls is connected to the Castello Inferiore, which is placed in the main square of Marostica In the afternoon free time for lunch (not included but organised on request in typical restaurant), transfer to Cittadella and visit to the town, a fine example of defensive architecture and one of the best conserved military medieval cities in Europe. The perimeter of the town is almost circular and there are 4 entrance doors through the walls and 32 towers. A beautiful walk is suggested to guests keen on exploring. In the evening transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.
5th day: departure
After breakfast in the hotel, free time and departure.
